Danny moves to Boston to support his son (New Sean). He gets caught up in an investigation when a crime happens right in front of him. He teams up with a Boston cop, who happens to be the brother of his son's partner. At this point I am weary of Boston Blue. It gets worse. The two rookies, Sean and Jonah patrol together on their first shift. This does not happen in real life. The D. A. happens to be the mom of D anny's partner and mom of Sean's partner. The family dinners are Jewish instead of catholic, but the head of the family is a Baptist minister. This show is trying to be Blue Bloods with more diversity. That is fine except the acting and writing are not good. Every story intersects and the writers keep shoving Boston down our throats. I am from Boston. This show is not real. The producers should have made a Danny and Biaz spin-off. The actor that plays Sean is horrible! The writers waste Ernie Hudson, who is great in everything from Ghostbusters to HBO's Oz. 4 episodes in and I surrender.
I understand that the show has to cram all the characters and how they relate to each other in the first episode. The actors are good, even though they had to turn Sean into a hunk. The new Sean sucks. The family dinner is ridiculous. There is no way 2 rookie partners would be assigned the same unit without months of training from a training officer. Then they could search for a suspect on their second day instead of patrol. Not likely. Even if they catch the guy, their sergeant would ream their asses. Then to end with the group meeting on the Green Monster at Fenway? Those tickets are big bucks and sold way in advance. Dumbed down version of Blue Bloods. They should have spun-off Danny and Biaz to a Federal job. Splitting that team up is the worst idea. PS Ernie Hudson is a great actor, wasted on this crap.
