Unfortunately, there are so many wrong aspects to this movie that the feel-good portion of it suffers.
The couple are good enough leads as individuals but for me, they don't click.
Everything else is just that one bit too exaggerated - The French are too French, the German is a caricature German (and his German bits, i.e. Regarding the Die Hard story and the Krampus are just plain nonsense), the gay guy is too cliché, the evil corporation's plan is a tad too evil, the dad is very easily swayed - all this takes away any relatability the story might have, even if it is a fantasy.
It could have been better.

Lucy is stunning, cute, energetic, and the best part of this lazy romcom.
Josh is your generic hunk of which there seem to be a dime a dozen in these movies, and all of them share the same chin and two facial expressions.
I read in the trivia that originally, Robbie Amell was considered for the Josh part. You would not have noticed any difference, I am sure of it.
The rest of the cast, with the tiny exception of Danny, have not been blessed with any character arcs by the writers.
The worst part however is the script. I don't know the book so I am unsure who's fault it is, but for some highly educated, supposedly smart and successful leaders, the story makes them act like teenagers. Paired with forced overacting, any believability is out of the window.
Plus, the rest of the movie is a classic, cliché background for the main couple's antics. The understanding female boss likes yoga, the sexist male boss golf. The mother is lovable, the father is a patriarch and an a** (and of course a sexist as well). Women love literature, guys like sports. Nearly everything in this movie is this bipolar.
Only watch this if you are a hardcore romcom nerd and have run out of material, like I did. Or skip it, you won't miss much.

I have to fall in line with a few other reviews here that agree it's not a very good movie - but that it's nevertheless very enjoyable. More than it should be.
The premise is among the dumbest I've seen. The ending feels kind of cheap and the story element of the website adds nothing to the plot. Apart from our main protagonist Zoey, who is stunningly beautiful and delivers an overall good performance, the acting of the surrounding cast is, well, adequate.
Still, I didn't mind many of these flaws while watching it. I felt with (and fell for) Zoey, I liked the mid-story romance twist, I smiled during the bonding scenes and the general way the romance played out.
I'm rating this at least a point higher than it really deserves, just to double down on this experience.
