As a huge, die hard fan of Queen, I had the bar set extremely high for this movie. And not only it delivered but I felt dumbfounded by how magnificently the people behind it constructed it.
If you walk into the theatre expecting to see a perfectly accurate, almost historic movie about this band and its legendary frontman, walk out, shake your head and walk in again.
You can read trivia and more specific info about them somewhere else. This movie is the perfect depiction of what Queen was and especially Freddie, as artists. If he was alive, he would probably love it as it was everything Queen represented.
A story that doesn't focus on a certain aspect of Freddie's life but rather shows the journey of the band up to its most iconic and memorable moment.
Queen always strived to do their thing, in the purest way and deliver real entertainment to their audience and that is exactly what Bohemian Rhapsody did, without beating you with extremely personal details about Freddie's darkest moments or lifestyle or focusing on his illness to move you.
He himself, purposely kept his illness a secret up until the very last moment because he didn't want us to feel sympathy or focus on anything else rather than their art. He wanted to be a symbol of great entertainment which ultimately made him the legend he still is until this very day.
Apart from the entire cast being brilliant, we have to bow down before Rami Malek for one of the best portrayals of an actual human being we've ever seen till now.
Ultimately, this movie showed everything you need to know to capture Queen's essence and inevitably did what Queen wanted; entertain you.

This movie has some amazing elements that could make it a 9/10. It has Bianca Del Rio, Rupaul, Shanglela and so many more people who are more than entertaining to watch but some scenes fail to capture the essence of humour one might have hoped for.
With much better direction, this movie could be a huge success because the story line and characters, even the acting of most actors was actually pretty good. It leaves you with unfulfilled expectations which are mostly due to direction and montage.
I am giving it a 6/10 because apart from these two big flaws was fun to watch.

I wanna bitchslap each and every one of the adults involved in this. Treating children like this is cruel and literally abusive. I don't even care if 99% of it is staged, it is still absolutely wrong. These people are using their kids for their own agenda. You're all disgusting. The only good thing that could come out of this is the fact that therapists all around the states are gonna get rich. Assuming of course that these "people" have the decency to consult with one. It's at least a pity to see that the US, a vast continent with endless resources, talent, bright new ideas and the means to produce material that can easily have a global reach, is wasting it's time on traumatizing countless children. Including everyone participating in that ghastly show and each person who watched this. This is simply poison which helps in the creation of a superficial and problematic generation. And to anyone out there who can actually enjoy watching more than 5 minutes of these, you all need to see a psychiatrist.
