I love this movie. It is on the corny side rather than the sappy side. It seems more like situations that I can picture my family or people I know getting into. Of course, a little more extreme, not excessively so, just enough to make it entertaining. The other 2 movies in the "series" are very good too, but this is my favorite.
Finally, actors that resemble the characters portrayed in the various Jack Carr books. Far better than both Reachers, Rapp, and others. No, I have no actual military experience other than multitudes of novels addressing similar plots. (I read around 200 books a year.). I would rather read about people addressing the fight against barbarianism than a corny, smutty romance novel.
Yep, I've read all the books over the years. At least this new kid is tall, but he has tiny feet and hands no way close to the size stated in the books. The real Reacher, while quiet, is that way intelligently. Richman seems quiet because he has no idea what's going on. Reacher should a Liam Neeson type. Not a big, soy boy. He more or least stumbles around and maybe find some stuff out. His bio shows an adequate background but no expression. And then to top it off he starts sprouting political crap typical of Hollywood pretenders not in the real world. Frankly, I expected a lot more of a guy born in North Dakota.
