Jason Watkins was very good, and single handedly carried this drama in his own shoulders. It surprised me that this was brought back, two poor previous stories, with another here. It simply wasn't up to scratch, a mix of good actors and actresses, sadly none of them were able to elevate the wooly script. Won't be switching on again.
Once again the destroyers of Doctor Who are at it again, Chibnall serves up another lifeless story, whilst poor Jodie battles against a lackluster script. Did anyone else see the way that The Doctor and Captain Jack hugged? She looked as though she was loathsome to go anywhere near him, clearly nobody involved has any clue as to Jack's significance in the show.
The worst aspect, the awfulness of the companions, the way they all reacted, Yaz in particular, to the returning Doctor, was awful, imprisoned, not on a two week holiday in Malaga. Why have they made her the one standing companion, I wish they'd kept Ryan over her.
Jodie is leaving, and I'm not a fan, but it's Chibnall that should be moving on, she was up against a backlash, it could have been something really special, a way to silence the doubters. It's just all been so poor, this is another nail, the sooner a new regime saves this from the ashes, the better.

Keith Allen brings Palmer to life in this very agreeable 1998 adaptation. A man with no scruples, who played on the vulnerable for his own financial gain. I highly recommend reading up on Palmer, a very interesting character, a highly respected man, who got away with his mean crimes for so very long, because of his position of authority.
It's hard to come by, but should you get the chance to watch this, I recommend you do.
