I did my best. I suffered through half of the film, but that idiotic portrayal of Sakura started to destroy my brain, so I gave up. I couldn't believe it was the same Sergio Corbucci, who created Django. Eli Wallach and his obvious talent couldn't save the film either. Giuliano Gemma in it is forgettable.
Holy heck, I still feel like I need a therapy after watching it. I only gave it three stars because of Wallach and a few good moments in the film. Can't recall them now lol. I need to erase this film from my memory.

Aliens franchise is my favorite since the 80's, so I'm hella biased. They can't top it using today's mind frame. Not even countless homages to the original films help them. I mean I do respect the effort, but at a certain point it looks excessive, like too much in-your-face, and it brings the disservice. Also, there are no memorable/charismatic characters, at all. They all look weak, boring and dull.
Also they turned xenomorphs from ruthless killing machines creeping from the darkest corners of some claustrophobic spaces into pets running in the daylight.
It's ugly. I'm mad at the show creators for making such a parody out of something that should have been left untouchable.

The only actor who really tried hard was Nelson. She backboned the first part of the film, but when I saw that female "police detective", who showed up all dolled up at the crime scene along with her partner who also looked rather like an R&B boy band member then a police officer, things went south for me. I tried to keep watching, but once the female detective being in the hood said "too many memories, too many memories", I hit stop. That was it for me. Her character doesn't spark any empathy or emotions whatsoever. She just says her lines and makes a "serious" face. I'm sorry, it doesn't work. It takes more than that for people to engage and relate to a character.
In general, this film looks like it was hastily made and poorly directed.
