Why oh why does the channel crank the music up so loud?! When there is no dialog going on, the background music goes way up. So I grab the remote and turn the volume down. Then the actors start taking again and they can't be heard. So it's back to the remote to adjust the volume again. When there is a commercial break, the station's music comes on and about blasts us out of our chairs. Yikes! It doesn't seem like a sound tech ever adjusted the system to even out the audio.

Fun typical Christmas movie. We really enjoyed Katie Leclerc.

Biggest problem? The brothers say they are showing these buyers, "ranch property." These are NOT ranches! Most are less than five acres. Over grown lots. Sure, they can have their chickens, goats and horses but certainly not ranches.

Amazing to see the number of people who plan to board horses for extra income, but they know nothing about horses.

I do like that some buyers have modest budget like normal people so more viewers can identify with them.

Right from the opening scene in the saloon I thought, oh my goodness, this is like amateur hour. The costumes looked like they were designed for a "cowboy" that performs at little kid's birthday parties. Couldn't help but notice the perfectly smooth sheetrock walls. (Something not normally found in the old west.) I haven't mentioned the acting, since I didn't see any. I know they were trying, but my high school play had more convincing performances. Then the boy shows up practicing his shooting wearing the whitest pants I've ever seen. And apparently, no one in the west ever got dirty.

I really like westerns, but this was just an insult. I can't imagine why anyone would put money into producing this. Of course, it's obvious there wasn't much spent anyway.

I have to admit, I didn't watch the entire movie and maybe the part I didn't see was worthy of winning best picture of the year. But somehow, I don't think so.
