I've only watched the first episode so far (on Hulu, here in the US) but it was interesting enough to make me want to see more. I'd say this show is....moderately family-friendly. Like there are a lot of scenes of animals mating (obviously nothing too graphic, no close-ups of private parts thank goodness) and a few scenes of animals killing/eating other animals. Then there was one throwaway line in the 1st episode, something about "when hell freezes over".
About the only problem (mistake?) was when they started off a new segment, about midway through the 1st episode, showing the sausage-fruit tree, a new narrator suddenly took over - randomly we hear this wheezing whispery voice, with no explanation or warning ahead of time. Very unnerving and odd! Then a minute later, this croaky awkward narrator quits talking (thank goodness!) and the normal guy is back. Talk about planet weird!
Other than that unexplained anomaly, the audio was nice and crisp, and even though the narrator had an Australian accent, his ennunciation and delivery were perfectly understandable, and words were pronounced super clear and crisp. So that part was a welcome relief, that you don't have to strain to make out some mumbled lines of dialog.
