What a crappy movie. This has to be one of Samara's worst movies. For whatever reason she makes a lot of bad movies.
I think Samara is a good actress but for some reason she keeps making terrible movies like this one. This movie isn't even worth going straight to video. It should have gone straight into the trash can.
And Andy Garcia, what happened? I understand why he makes these movies, he is at the end of his career and needs to eat. But Samara is maybe in the mid point of her career and can do a lot better.
I don't recommend this movie, there are no redeeming qualities about it.

It's a good show. I like the CalFire perspective. I always thought CalFire just dealt with large forest fires in California. I never really thought about the other things they might be doing when there is no massive forest fire. 😂
I also really like the perspective on prisoner firefighters and how they might work with regular CalFire firefighters.
The cast is really good. I especially like Vince. I think he is the most complex character. He represents the old generation of firefighters training other firefighters in the way things were done by the tough, old firefighters, but he is also learning from the new generation of firefighters. It's a cool story.
I do feel like the show centers itself too much around Brody. There are a lot of other great characters that are being developed but everyone's story always seems to circle back to Brody. Brody seems to be this superhero firefighter that knows everything about fighting fires and can fix everyone's personal life. Nothing seems to get fixed until Brody fixes it. How many times have we seen Vince's face after Brody does something stupendously fantastic that no other firefighter in the history of fighting has ever done?
Brody is also the reason sooo many things get broken. The title of the show should have been, "Leave it to Brody".
