Was really looking forward to this, being a massive fan of The Raid & Gangs of London but I found this somewhat underwhelming. The fights were predictably great but everything in-between was dull to be honest.
Hardy isn't on his best form either - he was on Venom levels of form - that is, enough to avoid any significant criticism but a bit substandard for his potential.
The nightclub scene around a third in was the standout for me. Evans showing us what he does best. Just wish the film had been the relentless action film The Raid was.
I'm sure Evans will serve up something thrilling next time.
Disappointing & should've been a lot better.

Wow. #RoboDocTheCreationOfRoboCop is hands down THE BEST documentary on a film I've ever seen.
The love, care & attention to detail is phenomenal. It spends OVER 4hrs examining every detail of the classic '87 #RoboCop.
What sets this aside from most others is it included absolutely everyone it could. Even bit part actors were invited in & shared great memories.
Same for crew members. It's great hearing them recount how incredible the making of this film was. And how stressful it was at times too!
It's essential viewing for fans. It covers most parts of the movie - certainly all memorable scenes, of which most are!
It's fun, engaging & has a terrific soundtrack. I had a blast watching it.

Wow.
But not a good wow. More a wow that the Academy nominated this for 6 Oscars!
This is DULL in the extreme - for all of its 158mins.
Yes, Blanchett is good but does that make it a good film? No, of course not.
Very little happens. It's almost as much of an endurance challenge as Skinamarink.
This is a bio pic about a made up orchestral conductor who never existed. The least they could therefore have done was make her interesting!
There was a brief glimpse of excitement at one point where she almost crashed her car. I thought the film may be over but sadly she did not crash and the film continued rambling on for over an hour more.
I would recommend AVOIDING this, unless you suffer from insomnia, in which case you may find it extremely beneficial.
