Once again, Hollywood proves that cashing in on great original hits with inferior remakes/sequels is the only way for them to make money these days.
I went into this with an open mind because the original trilogy was pure comedic brilliance (Yes, even 33 and a Third).
Let's face it. Without Leslie Nielson, Ed & Nordberg, there is no Naked Gun. Since they are no longer with us, the franchise was DONE a long time ago. There is no way to "recreate" that same comedic magic. Liam did a decent job, but this film doesn't come close to reaching the comedic level that the original trilogy did. Most of that is the fault of the writing though. Not enough jokes and gags here. Not by a long shot.
To make a long story short, skip this one. Stick to the original trilogy.

I was pleasantly surprised by this live action Lilo & Stitch. It was well done and most importantly, it respected its source material.... Unlike that recent Snow Brown abomination.
I went in with low expectations because, well let's be honest, Disney is well known for taking a fat steamy dump on their classics with these live action remakes. I was almost expecting Disney to "re-imagine" Lilo as some trans eskimo who doesn't need any friends or family to know his self worth in this world. All kidding aside, the characters, the scenery, and the story itself kept my family and I entertained and that's all that matters. It was a huge bonus that this film stayed true to the original characters and story (for the most part).
Had they gone the usual Disney route in ruining this franchise too, we would have walked out of the theater before the film even ended. Glad it didn't come to that. We really enjoyed this film and I would definitely recommend it.
Hopefully, Disney finally learned something from the unforgivable mistakes they made with the Snow Brown travesty. Kudos to the Lilo & Stitch team! Good work.

This is one of those types of movies where if you take it seriously, your head will just explode.
You need to take it for what it basically is: a movie written by kids who think plane crashes, constantly getting shot at, international espionage, and moms who miraculously beat the snot out of heavily armed henchmen always ends well. Fact is, the way it is written, Jamie Fox and Cameron Diaz may as well be Avengers or some other superheroes who always escape every situation with barely a scratch or two on them.
In other words, this film is pure fantasy. Leave it at that and don't take it seriously. You may enjoy it.
