I don't remember the last rime a movie moved me so much. Unable to find words to describe what the film was like. It was quite an experience watching this.
Quite undoubtedly, Spencer is a masterpiece. Though the intent behind the movie leaves a lot of room for guesswork. What is the movie about? Is it a complimentary tribute to Diana or instead is it a dismissal of the Princess as a delusional, mentally ill person possessing lesbian tendencies?
The movie has been weaved with the finest threads of direction, performances and background score. This is an immortal work. The portrayal of Diana in it will be remembered, for good or not, is doubtful.
Aside from its ambiguous take on Diana, I was also left wondering whether life in the highest ivory tower in the world could indeed be so gloomy? Is it one of monarchy's schemes to get themselves depicted as the poor little victims in a doll house while availing all of its free amenities on the sidelines?
But in all fairness, who am I to say? Never been a royal, not in this birth at least.
