I don't know how this cringed show got such good reviews. Everyone is corrupted or evil in this show. Even the protagonist (Brittney Snow) succumbs to the overly stereotypical Texas culture. I don't even care there's a murder mystery--it's laced with too much T & A, gay sex, maturation, etc. I noped out.
This movie is proof that Hollywood can make a decent, wholesome movie if it wants to. I think the Bruno character says one profanity (G-D, if I remember correctly), but other than that, no profanity, no nudity, no sexual situations, no violence--it was so refreshing. It was a heartwarming, family friendly film. No woke agenda or any nonsense like that. I just wish there were more of that. The scene where the the nonnas tell their stories was especially touching. This could be standard Hollywood fare if they would simply try. Kudos to Vince Vaughn for producing this film. Hope I see more like this.
