  • When the rhyme is forced, the poet resorts to nonsense.

TL;DR: Bland characters, terrible writing, and poor voice acting. Surprisingly, the modeling and animation department did an awesome job.

To tell a compelling story, it's crucial to understand the concept of contrast. When every character is portrayed in the same dull, uniform way, the result is a monotonous, unremarkable blend.

The only thing preventing this from receiving a 1-star rating is the exceptional work by the modeling and animation department. The animation and styling are stunning, with characters that appear charming and lifelike, making it feel as if you're watching a comic book come to life. Despite the use of 3D CGI, the animation remains captivating.

  • 1 Hour and 17 minutes of Escapism.

Simple story, no propaganda, pure joy for the entire family, sure sometimes songs can get carried for too long but still a solid movie.

I've missed that era where animations and movies were made for people to escape! (and for children to learn a thing or two...) This movie truly made my soul happy, sure it's not a masterpiece, but it's something I would recommend shamelessly to everyone to watch.

If I had to describe this movie it would be a musical, adventure, thriller, romance.

There's around 5 songs in the movie, 2 of them are meh, the other ones are acceptable.

Adventure and thriller is the place this thing thrives, specially encouraging everyone to "come out of their shell" (pun intended.)

And to wrap it up, there's beautiful romance to finish the film on a high note.

It's a classic formula that, if applied correctly, it would be enough for you to at least enjoy your popcorn.

The biggest part I love about this movie is the purity of it. No political agenda, no secret messages.

  • Watch this, Thank me later.

There's enough reviews for you to see the meat and bone of the story, I'm just going to clear the air some.

Every witch rides A broom, I didn't see anyone calling Harry Potter a copy.

This movie had a much richer story than a certain dragon movie will ever have.

If you're an adult looking to watch this movie with your kid, this one actually can be something for you and your kid to watch while enjoying your popcorn, plus it doesn't cost your dignity after the movie ends.

But you might end up with the problem of this movie becoming one of your kids favorite and have to watch it every night with them.

Graphic wise, it's beautiful and decent enough for me to choose this anytime over any sugarcoated crap that Disney puts out these days.

And for the music, voice-overs and audio effects this movie is brilliant both in English dub and French.

Overall, I was satisfied with this movie. On top of that, you might ACTUALLY LEARN something from this movie. (Yes, even as an adult. And no, it doesn't lead you to talk about the birds and the bees.)
