Sweet Bean is a beautiful and touching film that I truly loved. It tells a simple story, yet the emotions run deep. The movie wonderfully balances sadness and hope, making you feel both the sorrow of the characters' pasts and the gentle optimism of new connections. The writing and storytelling are delicate and poetic, showing how small moments and human relationships can bring meaning and comfort. It's a quiet but powerful film that stays with you long after it ends. The message I took from the movie is that everyone has a story, and listening to them is truly beautiful. In today's world, when we often forget to listen, this felt especially moving and meaningful to me.
I watched it during the christmas break this year and enjoyed it. Good acting, good script!
I found it very similar to British humour: self-deprecation, undetectable sarcasm, socially inept character, awkward encounters of the character etc. Especially it reminds me of Miranda and Fleabag with a Turkish twist. I like it! I think Bartu and Tolga make a great team and did a good job! Keep it up!
