I really rather enjoyed this one. Short on grotesque special effects but long on a clever premiss developed logically and - argh - imaginatively. What some have described as poor acting I interpreted as a cast working credibly and realistically. I found it easy to put myself in Jessica's shoes, figuratively speaking, striving to make her acquired family cohere and cope with a sick father. The littl'un was very convincing and, I suspect, has a stellar future in acting. Taylor was equally credible as the troubled teenager with the new mum, grotesque boyfriend-next-door and difficult little sister. There was an interesting twist to look out for. Give it a chance!!
