This show started out fun and engaging. But has since become a vehicle for hyper-Christianity in an idealized and and amazingly unrealistic way. Constant sermonizing and preaching. All the ladies in modern makeup and hair - and some bad wigs too, lol. Also, really bad kissing (not looking for heavy make out sessions, but c'mon,they mostly kiss like family!).
If this appeals to you, great. But I don't think it has to be so preachy to be a show about good and decent people.

I enjoy a clean show. But this show is so hackneyed with the southernisms. For instance, yes we do say the occasional "bless your heart" in context of a "you poor dear" but don't pause and announce it as a dramatic semi-curse on exit. And the Christian vibe is also over the top. The male-female relationships are contrived at best. Overall, it's syrupy, undeveloped and simpering.
