This movie is like if those guys you knew in high school who are empty inside but somehow don't hate themselves for it were for several years surrounded by only other guys like them as well as girls who do hate themselves and they all laugh at their own unfunny jokes and argue and bang each other before coming into a bit of money without working for it and decide to write and film a movie wherein the experiences they know as normal reality sound good and funny enough to their empty minds and souls and somehow no one with any influence over the final product stops and thinks and no one ever grows and it's all just a party except they're all already dead.
Made for tv thriller connoisseurs wont find a whole lot in this mid film - highlights include and are limited to seeing David Schwimmer who is obviously not 19 say "i'm 19" , and for marvelling at that other dudes hair. I know it was 1989 but i'm not sure that really explains the cut / style on this guys head. He appeared in court with this hair, completely seriously. No one laughs at him in the movie. I don't think i was supposed to be thinking about that dudes hair so much, but the rest of the film was totally overshadowed, not like it really takes much to forget the writing and acting. But i will never forget seeing david schwimmer attempt at drama and seriously say "i'm 19" or that other dudes hair, so i guess it has more going for it than some other tv thrillers of the era. Maybe this movie is ten stars for emotional impact, not because of the subject covered, but for that dudes hair and david schwimmer saying "I'm 19"
