Pumpkinhead is a monster movie in a sense, but one that was done well enough to make it entertaining. After his son billy passes due to being hit by a dirtbike, a discrutled ed harley finds an old woman to bring up a vengefull spirit known as pumpkinhead, that he once saw as a kid and uses it to get revege. It reminds me of an 80's slasher but instead of someone in a mask this thing is pretty much real, a spirit brought on by hatred. Lance henrikson was well cast in this. Overall an entertaining monster horror.
Tommy lee jones plays a grumpy law enforcement agent called sharp. And he is tasked with looking after anne, teresa, evie, heather and barb who are texan cheerleaders and they witness a man getting shot. At first he does not take the task well but with these films you already know where the plot is going. Good cast and there were some decent action and fun to be.
A bigger splash is more of a comedy drama than the thriller it presents itself as. The last half hour does save it and im thankful to see more of dakota johnson as her character saved this from being boring. Finnes also dud an excellent job but ultimatly the movie falls flat at every hurdle set up here.
