The performances of Annette Bening and Jodie Foster stand out, not just complementing the narrative but elevating it to a level where the audience can't help but feel a part of Nyad's grueling yet inspiring journey. Their portrayal adds depth and dimension to the film, making it more than just a story of physical endurance; it becomes an exploration of the human condition.
What sets 'Nyad' apart is its ability to capture the essence of human resilience. The film doesn't just chronicle a physical feat; it delves into the mental and emotional fortitude required to undertake such a challenge. It's a testament to the indomitable human spirit, and how, with determination and strength, seemingly insurmountable obstacles can be overcome.

Unlike the Team Building competitor, this film has a small script and a logic that is supposed to be funny.
The problem comes from a rather thin script, as if written from copying some of Mircea Bravo's sketches. A 2-3 minute talcum powder video is funny, but 20 such scenes, one after another, not so much.
The characters have personality and would have deserved a better script and some real actors.
Instead, the proverbial slowness of the Transylvanian is the main characteristic of the film - the action advances slowly, the scenes unfold slowly, the logic is step-by-step and without jumps. That is funny itself.
