I'm disappointed to say that "Skeleton Crew" fails to live up to the Star Wars name. Rather than a galactic adventure, we're presented with a coming-of-age story centered around a group of kids. The theme, tone, and action are all mismatched with the Star Wars brand.
A successful Star Wars show needs a compelling lead character, as evident from the triumphs of "The Mandalorian," "Andor," "Ahsoka," and "Bad Batch." Unfortunately, "Skeleton Crew" lacks this crucial element, leading to its downfall.
Perhaps the creators should revisit their approach and focus on crafting strong, character-driven stories. Sometimes, change isn't necessarily better. By staying true to the Star Wars formula, they might have avoided this misstep.

This series had the potential to be truly exceptional, but unfortunately, it was undermined by the underwhelming portrayal of the MI6 agent and the agency itself. Their actions and behavior were often more brutal and murderous than those of the killer, which raised significant ethical concerns.
Despite this notable misstep, the series was engaging and entertaining, boasting excellent pacing and a gripping narrative that made for a thrilling watch. However, the miscasting of the lead female agent and the MI6's disturbing moral ambiguity prevented me from awarding a higher rating. I would have otherwise given it a solid 7/10.
Perhaps the series inadvertently sheds light on a disquieting truth: that certain agencies may, in fact, be more culpable than the individuals they pursue. This unsettling notion lingered long after the credits rolled, leaving a lasting impression on me.

I have had the misfortune of witnessing some lackluster films in my lifetime, but this movie takes the cake. As a seasoned cinephile, I am flabbergasted by the overwhelming praise it has received. The acting is atrocious, with performances that fall flat. The plot, initially intriguing, quickly devolves into a mess, failing to deliver on its promise.
The film's commercial performance is telling, with a meager $4 million in earnings against a $10 million budget. It's baffling to see such a disparity between the critical acclaim and the box office numbers. I suspect that some critics may have been unduly influenced.
My expectations were high, fueled by the glowing reviews and ratings. Unfortunately, the movie failed to meet even the lowest of expectations. As soon as the credits rolled, I knew I was in for a disappointment - and disappointment is exactly what I got.
