I love this movie. A lone sailor out at sea has his yacht hit by a stray shipping container and what follows are more episodes of bad luck, and he attempts to repair the boat and survive. The cinematography and acting are superb. I was glued to this movie from the get go, always fascinated on how some of the scenes were filmed. Robert Redfern is a star as an actor and as a director. This is one of his best works in my humble opinion.
At first i thought this is a weak cop adventure type show, which is what it was, but with a twist. It was hilarious in moments, especially when reacher comes back with his expected straight answer. The action and stories were quite good but i still watched it more for the comedy aspect. I know tom cruise has done a reacher film but for what i enjoyed no one can possibly replace alan ritchson. He was a smash. This great big hunky guy who had all the answers and was invincible yet modest. I definite recommend it as a watch. It is a lot better than most other stuff out there made for TV. The filming was great too. Well done.
There is nothing wrong with this movie but it makes a pretty average impact on you.
I did however love the way Australian actor Guy Pearce masters the Texas accent and plays an FBI agent, and i love it when Liam Neeson slaps people (crooks) around. At 70 years of age, Neeson comes across as an artist of hand combat. Slap, bang, smash. Love it.
The story is about a hitman and a couple of cops who both feel a wrong needs to be corrected because a 13 year old Mexican girl is assassinated. The hitman refused to kill her originally, and guy pearce was trying to take care of her girl after he accidentally killed her crooked father, who was selling her to strangers for sex.
Worth viewing: Yes Something to get excited about: Not really.
