The russians have a proverb: history is unpredictable. Still, I don't get people who rattle the saber and pop the flag and then claim that they know the difference between truth and propaganda. I won't argue that the movie is all fake news because I don't know personally of the 'active measures' they talk about but the movie is completely out of context and anyone who doesn't know that, has either been asleep in history class or just ignorant. To be fair, the american educational system isn't the best with respect with american history but c'mon, use something called google and learn the truth. Even if you don't want to read there are plenty of other documentary movies about the US involvement in the italian elections for example, in the sixties and the australian elections in the 70s. I'll give you a hint, look up william colby and christopher boyd. And those are just the ones I can think of. There's more 'active measures' by the US than is well published. So, is this propaganda or a political narrative, or the truth about russian espionage. Who doesn't believe the russians are involved in the US, raise your hands. No one, right because it's no surprise that the russians spy on the US and use active measures any more than they should claim the US doesn't spy on other nations, including supposedly allies, and use active measures.
