I had seen Brian De Palma's films Carlito's Way and Scarface before, but I had not seen this film. I must say that I was dealing with an amazing work. Even much better than Scarface and Carlito's Way. What a director, what a cinematography, what performances, especially the dear and lovely Sean Connery, what a script, what a soundtrack by the genius Ennio Morricone. What action sequences. In a word, this should be one of the films you must see before you die. It's a shame that it's not in the top 250 films. It really is a lasting work forever.

It's a good movie with an interesting idea and a decent plot about love. But it's way too long. The last 20 minutes of the movie are officially redundant and make the movie boring and become its biggest weakness. If the movie finished in 1 hour and 30 minutes it would be a masterpiece and I would give it a 9, but now I give it a 7.

A very bad movie. I can say that I wasted all my time on it and I regret it. It was not at all what I thought or what they said before. I am really surprised how some people give this movie a 9 or 10 rating!! I expected a much better movie. There is nothing good in this movie. It doesn't even have a soundtrack. Bad direction, slow and boring rhythm, bad ending, I really regret watching it.
