I watched Flow (2024) on the airplane. It is a cartoon movie, and maybe the special effects are not the best. But I really liked the story. The whole movie is from a cat's point of view. The cat's small actions and eyes are very real and full of life.
There is no talking in the film-only animal sounds, wind, and water. It feels very peaceful. When I watched it, I forgot all the noise in life. It made me calm and relaxed, like my soul can take a break.
Flow is a simple but beautiful movie. It doesn't need words to tell a good story. I think many people will enjoy it, especially if you want to feel quiet and peaceful inside.

This film is a strange mix of cartoon and live-action. The scenes of violence-like the constant punching and kicking between Tom and Jerry-made me uncomfortable, almost to the point of physically sympathizing with the pain. Over-the-top fights and destruction work in cartoons, but in a live-action setting they feel disturbing. The "real-world" elements triggered an uncanny valley effect for me, where humanoid characters felt oddly familiar yet unsettling.
As for the leading actress, her overly sweet voice and image didn't match the exaggerated eyebrow-raising and staring she relied on for humor. It wasn't convincing, and I couldn't decide whether it was a lack of natural comedic talent or simply poor writing.
Overall, this movie felt like a failed attempt at nostalgia.
