Beautiful cinematography, and a very possible series of events. The direction, imagery and soundtrack/musical compositions combined give you a standing on pins and needles feeling, on edge and forever waiting for some sort of climax. Although the climax doesn't hit quite as hard as 'taxi driver'. I love stories where the way it's told ends up being better than the content of the story itself. It's like how life is, you experience moments that you think are bonified legendary but when you go to tell tge tale to someone else, you realize it wasn't quite as epic as if you were there. This movie does that justice in potraying a very possible situation.
This movie has bad reviews because of fans of the original show not getting an identical remake (that's what I assume at least). If you're a fan of imagination, and well-thought storytelling mixed with a little horror element; this movie will tickle your fancy. It has a well-needed theme/moral that people these days could take note of. Redemption, forgiveness, letting go of the past in order to have a future.
This movie's plot was about as cliche and predictable as..... something that's really cliche and predictable.. The acting on the other hand, well.... That is also bad, no surprise. Usually a movie albeit low-budget will have at least one good actor in this case, that is not the case. Bad writing, bad directing, bad acting, stink-pile are just a few phrases that some this all up.
