Downhill is a Remake of the 2015 film Force Majure. And Stars Julia Luis Dreyfus and Will Farrell. This movie premiered at Sundance so I was super excited for it, but now that I've seen it I'm a little disappointed. I will say I really enjoyed the cinematography and set design of the film. Those things mixed with a whimsical score gave it a Wes Anderson type of feel. Now as for the things I didn't like, I found both the characters in the movie very annoying and both very selfish which made the move hard to sit through. And the reason for the couples argument aka the whole backbone of the movie felt really shallow.

Wow.... this movie actually exists... I mean there isn't much to be said. The acting performances are bad, the direction is bad, the screenplay is bad and often offensive to history. Probably skip this one..

Finally saw the Gentleman! Going in I wasn't very excited for this film. It's nothing against the cast or crew of the film, I just didn't have a desire to see this film. But I will say I really really enjoyed this movie! It's not perfect but it is definitely a good time!

It's really hard to talk about the movie without spoilers but I will try my best. I really love the way the story is told in the film, they do something pretty clever that keeps this movie fresh and keeps you guessing throughout the film! I also really appreciate that the movie doesn't rely on action and explosions to be interesting like so many films in this genre often do. There is actually a lot of dialogue and character building. But when the movie does have action they do it very well.

My biggest compliant of the movie is the first act. I was very confused during most of the first act and was a little bored by the pacing of the first act. But as the movie goes on it gets better and better. I'll give the gentlemen an 8/10!
