I like the fact that all the characters are slightly predictable but not too predictable, and that there is no CLEAR "leader" and you're always wanting to see what happens, and you get really invested in the characters. music was also great,
visuals great, acting is awful sometimes, and pretty good other times.
HOWEVER the plot has a ton of holes in it, ( as you would expect from a time travel show) and it is very very predictable at times, even what the characters might say. but somehow it works..
Watch it, but dont have high hopes like the reviews say...

Saw this at the berlinale festival
Pretty cool story, nice feeling to it
Cinematography wise it was awful though, there was a point where 2 people were having a conversation outside, and when they cut to the other person it was darker outside... and there was another point where there was continuoty errors. Or maybe the cinematography part was on purpose? There were parts where it was so dark that you couldnt see the characters faces for minutes. And some cute were weird sometimes, looked like mistakes.
Sound design was crazy good sometimes, but sometimes unnecessary and unrealistic
But the story really saved the film.
Its a movie you should watch, ive never watched a chinese movie btw, but they seem cool
