Okay, there are good movies and bad ones. Just admit this was a bad one. It tried to have some comedy, but it wasn't funny. The action was intriguing, but not really believable with the poor acting that was done. The story itself could have been much better, but it was more silly than interesting. Just because an actor wins an Oscar, doesn't make all their following films good films.
This movie started off kind of interesting, but about 30 minutes in it really lost it's appeal. A decent plot was forming with interesting characters, but they kept introducing very vague side stories and new characters that basically just interrupted the main plot. It was more confusing than interesting at this point. Very poor directing as well.
Most of the 48 Hours shows are pretty good, but aside from the victim's demise I enjoyed this episode. It's nice to see justice come into play and the guilty are convicted. The main perpetrator (David Pearce) was just a creepy, arrogant, narcissist. I found it ironic that he was so demanding about so many things, including going against his attorney's advice That backfired for him in the end. Also every photo of David Pearce was just sort of gross. Those duck lip photos were just horrible to look at. What kind of grown man poses like that? I suppose that look might come in handy for him in. Overall, a very good episode.
