The original 2002 Lilo & Stitch is in my top favorites for movies. This one? Felt so heartless, and dry. So many things were changed, and I can say not for the better. The original story was great, the way the movie progressed was fantastic, and in this one so much of it was rushed to put in slapstick gags. The omission of characters was jarring. Giving exposition to the wrong characters was bizarre.

The pacing was frantic and all over the place.

Made it about 40 minutes in and gave up. Disney made this to grab the cash, no heart, no soul, no trace of creativity.

I want my money back Disney.

While the story needed some little pickups and flushing out this is a good episode. Whoever wrote the dialogue for this episode in particular got the banter and commentary between O'Neill and any others he interacts with spot on. The season that follows gets only better.

I've never understood why I enjoy this movie. It's a cult favorite; something I acknowledge could be far, FAR better than it is. Jeremy Irons sort of saves it in a way, and the CGI was remarkable for it's time. If you watch it you need to understand that it wasn't well done and had potential that was squandered. However it has enough charm to be worth a watch.
