Fairly good whodunit, with especially good background about skateboarding culture in the 90s and Love Park. Acting was pretty good plus the abuse angle.
Love Park and the boarding culture were captured well, and intriguing as a story idea. The only drawback I see there was the fil.ing in LA vs trying to accurately recreate Love Park from back then.

A very intricate plot to end the season and throw some cliffhangers at us, the dear watchers. Some loose ends get tied up in some very interesting ways, and the circle of ponders grows even wider.
Still, a good emphasis on the very human impact of these shenanigans and jumping. As usual, nothing really proceeds in a linear fashion in this show, as it maintains the trademark Hallmark look, relationships and romances and twists and knots them into an intricate four dimensional dance in time and space, looping back on itself, close connecting and near missing, and leading to both exhilaration and sadness.
A great season ender.

I just finished watching this episode, and did not find it preachy at all. I thought it was a good character study of Lutie and his daughter. Lutie was more faulted by the community for his alcoholism, violence and strict parenting than for his beliefs. His behavior was not atypical for a lot of men of the time who found themselves searching for some kind of meaning and coping with the depression, and often resorted to over-reliance on the bottle.
As usual for the Waltons, I have noticed since my rediscovery of it, the acting and storytelling were good. Not the best I have seen from the Waltons, but still a fine episode.
And by the way, I am a Christian. And have a science degree (Astrophysics / Physics dual major)
