  • Seasons 1 & 2 were great. Season 3 was a solid meh...

This show is an excellent example of why I wish it were possible to rate individual seasons. Season 1 was great, fun, well thought out, & had satisfying follow through, so I give it 9/10 stars. Season 2 was also well thought out & had great follow through, but it seemed to loose most of the "fun factor", so I give it 8/10. Something seemed to go wrong in season 3, though. I managed to watch each of the first 2 seasons over the course of about a week, but it took me about 4 months to watch all of season 3 because it just wasn't holding my attention. The storyline wasn't interesting & the writing & acting were boring &, at times, a bit contrived. It makes me wonder if they had a change in writers or if the writers just lost interest. So I'd probably give season 3 about 5/10, putting it squarely in the "meh" category. Because of that shift I decided to average out my ratings for the 3 seasons & give the show 7/10 stars over all. It's a pretty good show over all, but you can probably skip season 3.

  • I freaking hate Adam Sandler movies & I gave this 7 stars.

I can't help but question the IQs of the people hating on this movie... I generally can't stand Adam Sandler movies, but this was genuinely good. It was one of the best comedies I've seen in a while, and possibly the best Adam Sandler movie I've ever seen.

  • Better than I expected

Ok, I do have to start by acknowledging that this is an extremely political movie & it does have a general feel to it of, "If you don't share our exact political views, then you're a moron... & probably evil..." But somehow, despite that, it's still a relatively decent movie. I think it would have been better if the third act (the action) had come quite a bit sooner, & I really could have done with less shoving of political views down my throat. The acting was surprisingly good, though, & I think they did manage to bring up the thoughts & emotions that they were going for. I'll give them that. Overall, it did provoke some thought & it wasn't a complete waste of time. Oddly enough, I think the group I would recommend this to the most would actually be conservatives (like me) who don't mind their beliefs being questioned.

  • So bad, it's good.

This movie is very firmly in the category of "so bad, it's good" or maybe good because it's so incredibly, awkwardly bad. It's basically cut from the same cloth as "Not Another Teen Movie." It takes all the worst parts of cleché, angsty movies & amplifies them. Unfortunately, the acting leaves a lot to be desired... although some of that may have been on purpose as well. It's hard to tell... This should go without saying at this point, but don't take even a single moment of this movie seriously. Over all, not a bad turn-your-brain-off kind of movie.
