This is a short film that was featured as the last short ever in the original "Mystery Science Theater 3000". I'll just never forget the riffing of this, as it's one of my favorites. The comedy was truly rapid fire in this. "Lots of loose soil to bury someone. Hey!" This short features a man wishing there were no springs when Coily the spring sprite shows up to grant him his wish.
The laughable part is that Coily is just so annoying. It's still better than the second half, which is him talking to his golf friends about springs which is just plain boring. It seems like it would have worked better if it was just focusing on Coily and wasn't trying to be an educational short at all. This was one old thing to be featured on MST3K and it's interesting that bad entertainment existed as early as this. I could quote the episode all day like, "But if you didn't hate springs so much that wouldn't have happened!". There's also, "So, one clod says one thing, the whole world pays?". *1/2.
