  • Not One Redeeming Feature

Dull, muddling, contrived piece of nothing. Please give me just one reason that I should care about any one of these characters let alone Jay. I really wanted to enjoy this snooze fest but let it go after a little over an hour. Like others have said, basically a study on Hollywood narcissism. And yeah, his daughter would have had $$$$$ orthodontia?

  • Really Just Season 1

No way to give much of a review without spoilers. I just rewatched (12/2025) the entire three seasons roughly 10 years since the last time. Things haven't changed! Season one is a solid 10 stars. Season two is just patch-patch-patch, with a few moments of brilliance and rates a weak 6 stars. Season three is just shy of unwatchable and rates 0 stars. So - if you can bring yourself to do it just watch season 1 and let it go and you won't be disappointed!

  • Fun

Current offering on Criterion (11/2025) as part of their Blackout Noir collection. Star packed simple noir that is just plain fun. Simpler times, simpler story, but very enjoyable all the same. Always fun to see Raymond Burr in his early days. The three gals play off each other so well you can't help but like it.
