For those reviewers complaining about fanservice you are completely missing the point. If a creator is not trying to please fans then why are they making starwars? Isn't that what they should be going for? Should they try not to please fans?! I cannot understand this point of view. I grew up with the original trilogy. I Watched them constantly. When it ended in 1983 I was 10 and I wanted more. I waited so long to see these characters again and see more of their adventures. I wanted to be a jedi because of Luke. When it was announced he would be in the sequel trilogy I was so excited. I rushed to watch the force awakens only to see Han die, Leia with no real screen time, and Luke...wasted....cameo. I had to wait 2 more years for the last Jedi only to have my heart broken by what I saw. It was a terrible movie and it completely destroyed Luke and then killed him off. I did not wait all those years for that. Fanservice is not a bad thing. If Disney would think of the fans more, starwars would not be in the state it is now in. I love starwars and want it to be great. I'm not alone. Disney has made some really good stuff and really bad. I don't think it's too much to ask for them to please fans. Isn't that who they make it for? I don't care why they made this episode. If it was to make up for what they did to Luke in the movies...good. They need to! I already choose to not consider the sequels cannon. I believe many others do too. It is impossible to put into words how the end of this episode made me feel. If you are someone that can't understand grown men crying after watching this I surely can't help you. It was like being 10 years old again. This is what I wanted to feel when watching the sequels. The problem with modern starwars is many of the people making it don't feel like I do about it and can't understand why I love it. They don't understand what the old fans want. We want to care about it again.call it fanservice if you want but the end of this episode should be the blueprint for all starwars shows moving forward. Thank you for finally giving us what we want even if it was only a few scenes.
The fight is cool and all but....being able to control gravity is one thing, being able to take even one punch from Thor or Hulk is another. Why would gravity powers make graviton almost impervious to damage? Many of even the lower tier villans in this show have the same issue. There has to be levels of power or it falls apart. Good action though. Imo his powers would be showcased better if he just uses his powers to keep them at bay. No reason for him to have super strength or invulnerability. Overpowered by writers. More and more writers seem to fall into this trap. They don't ask these questions, they just have god's running about destroying everything. Some villans power should be their brains. Sadly characters are limited by the imagination of the writers...punch, punch, shoot,shoot..
