James Gregory did the impossible jump starting a sinking episode. Everyone used his comedic energy to shine also. The Doomsday gag started to work when Beckman appeared and really kicked in with James Gregory. The wayward kid shtick for the third time bombed on the series. Denise Miller would go on to be a regular on two horrendous spin-offs (Fish, and Archie Bunker's Place).

Ron Carey was okay as the thief known as the mole. But, he will become a classic sitcom memorable character as Officer Levitt. Most everything clicked well. You could feel Fish's pain as the insurance man brought up bad doctoring. You could almost smell the nasty sewer stink through the screen. Hal Lindon really struggled to get around with the real injury under his cast.

The guy waiting to claim the money he found, the wayward youth, his mother and the robber all were very bland and all overacted. We do get a lot of screen time for Fish which was a plus. A glimpse of Abe Vigoda's The Godfather Tessio character threatening the pickpocket. Mocking the hearing impaired man was low. One of lesser episodes so far.
