Just because it talks about ghosts doesn't mean it's a horror/scary movie. What a waste of my time. The one jump scare was good, the other 89 minutes was a painful slow burn. Not sure how this got such good ratings from others. I should have paid more attention to the people that gave this a 3 out of 10, they clearly knew what they were talking about. If you want a scary movie, look anywhere but here. The not so subtle social lesson here should have been talked about more than it was, a warning would have been nice. Now you can consider yourself warned and you're welcome. Go enjoy another movie.
I've been a huge fan of this novel series for years and was so excited they finally made a TV series out of it. I was glad to find the storyline to the show matches so close to the first book. It's not exactly the same but close enough. Too many times, shows or movies based on a book go a different path and it usually ends badly. Hoping they keep this series going for many more seasons.
I don't know how to explain this show but I guess dark comedy suits it best. The characters in the show are great and the writing is so well done. Quite a few big name actors and yet somehow this show doesn't get talked about. Cool... it is cool. I truly hope it returns for a 3rd season.
