What a movie, I had seen it on TV something 25 years ago and only thing remembering was, it is a good movie..... Suddenly I thought of watching it again. Top class music, superb acting by Akshay and especially by Jyothika for showing her innocet face in acting.

It does have few flaws, story is outdated today particularly for showing foolish behavior of respective parents untill climax. Unfortunately the movie didn't do well at box office. If it was edited well by 20 min then, could have been recognized as one of the best romantic movie. The movie goes again to its peak at the climax, what an emotional ending with superb bgm !!

This movie deserves rating around 8.5, IMDb giving this masterpiece only 6.8 is absolutely rubbish. This is one of the best Hindi romantic movie made in India with lovely songs/music, good plot, top class acting by Raj Kapoor and Nargis, beautiful folklore dance. What happened to IMDb subscribers, why are they not giving higher ratings to such old classic movies?

The simple story is Raj and Neelu falls in love with each other, soon Raj comes to know that he has tuberculosis. So he avoids to meet Neelu and plays a drama of love with Neelu's elder sister Chandra to show Neelu that he cheats her. Will Neelu come to know the reality of Raj? Will they ever be reunite?

This movie deserves the place in world's top 100 classic movies of all time.
