Okay, I've watched it after keeping it in watch list for more than a year. I regret. If you've ever fell in love you must have felt the fear of loss. This movie just brings you that feeling in a beautiful but destroying way. It will haunt you for long.

STORY - It's classic and captivating.

SCREENPLAY - It's a good example of simple story with good screenplay.

ACTING - Both leads did great justice to their role but Avinash steals the mountain.

The silences in the movie are the most horrifying elements that Maniratnam cleverly created. They symbolize the consequences of boiling minds; Silence.

The rawness and genuine approach to harsh reality make this film more breathtaking.

Innocence always manages to live in peace but Sharpness always thirsts for its blood.

Absolutely, this movie would not survive if it's made today.

Vengeance demands concrete reason. A reason for bloodbath. In this movie no one's reason was explained clearly. Like they're for a Disney voyage. From character development to dialogs, writing falls face down. Sometimes even screenplay looks over motivated, lacks subtleness.

Vfx was commendable except boat fight.
