Unfortunately and unnecessarily, I am forced to leave a review in English, although no one outside of Germany will ever look this up, but here we go: Don´t waste your time on this episode of SchleFAZ. The cocktail is nice - white russian with absinthe - but that´s about it when it comes to positive aspects. The movie is horrible and the drinking rule - for every heavy breathing - is abandoned after like 15 minutes. So, you are left with a horrible movie where you can drink whenever you like. You don´t have to watch SchleFAZ for that (Especially not live with a ton of commercials, but that won´t be an issue anymore for anyone reading this review). There were no mentionable reveals in the review parts either, so just skip this one.

To start my review with a quote of a really famous movie: Look how they massacred my boy. Max, once a shining beacon of badassery, is demoted to a mere blood donor for so called war boys. The music makes you think you'd be watching Shutter Island at times (I wish I would), other times it's just generic and feels familiar without ringing a tone. The plot is meh at best but at least they are making the best of the good old blue and red colour schema.

Don't get me wrong, I like strong female leads like Ellen Ripley or Lara Croft. I even liked Theron in Aeon Flux. But this is just a bad execution of the strong female lead theme.

Usually, I am not a big fan of my country when it comes to movies. The gros of actors are mediocre at best (glaring at Til Schweiger), the stories tend to be boring and unoriginal, and special effects are mostly cheap.

With this movie, the story is a 08/15 time loop one, which would still count as unoriginal, special effects are nonexistent, but at least the actors are all pretty good (especially Edin Hasanovic did it for me). While this sounds like a below average summary, why did I still like it?

Well, I have to admit that I am a big fan of the time loop genre. This is somewhat like the 16th such movie I´ve seen, so my opinion might be biased. But at the end, I really just enjoyed the time spent watching this movie. If you want mind boggling plot twists, explosions and car chases all over the place, non-stop jokes or billion dollar CGI, avoid this. If you are looking for a charming and amusing movie to watch after work, this will do the trick. 6,5/10.
