The second sequel is seldom worth your time. But on this occasion it has not been content merely to rehash the earlier ingredients, but to do something completely different; to which end Nigel Kneale was commissioned to write an original screenplay.
Kneale inevitably disliked the result, and had his name removed from the credits. But enough of his original concept survives to make it worth your time. While it boasts a truly formidable villain in Dan O'Herlhy.

Although Bollywood films aren't exactly known for their restraint and understatement this combination of crime thriller and supernatural drama has to simultaneously be both one of the strangest and the most tiresome films I've ever seen. With the result that every time the villain regenerated himself I groaned to myself "Not again!! 😩
One of the characters goes by the name of 'Charlie Todger'; which gives you a pretty good idea of the level of the wit in this very broad farce depicting the rather racy subject of unplanned pregnancy
Among the cast the most interesting feature is that Cyril Smith - a veteran supporting actor at the end of a long career - and Hylda Baker - relatively new to films, her only previous film being 'Saturday Night and Sunday', which treated the subject seriously - make a rather good team as husband and wife.
