I honestly didn't expect much seeing the low score it had on IMDB. But the trailer made it look like an OK movie to kill time. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least.

The movie is quite tense and suspenseful in the first 2/3. You keep wondering who is toying with the protagonist Violet. The final act was fun, though yes you have to suspend disbelief at some parts

+ GOOD, convincing acting + Excellent direction, editing + Stylish visuals + Entertaining!! That was the most important to me.

7.5 /10 would recommend.

This movie has been on the list for a while. After seeing so many positive reviews and so much praise I had quite a few expectations. Unfortunately this movie is a bore fest.

The actress is really good. The supporting cast has solid acting as well. But the story is very dull. And overall it is not scary at all. I should not see that as a horror movie.

It is more a slow burn character study of a nurse going insane. There is maybe one scared jump, that's it. The rest of the time the whole movie is very slow and very little happens.

All the reviews saying that it was the best they have ever seen. OMG, are you kidding me? I rate it so low because it is neither entertaining nor scary, it is very anti-climatic towards the end as well.

I would not recommended.

I just watched the extended version for the first time yesterday and it is so much BETTER than the theatrical version. I remember the theatrical cut to be poorly edited, like some scenes were missing to make things flow better.

After reading so many reviews I decided to watch the 3 hour version and you can see how the story lines make more sense, how the characters' motives are overall more convincing. It also feels like a more complete movie.

This movie has it all : good action, amazing soundtrack, great acting.

Like many have already said it before, the main problem is Jesse Eisenberg. Not that he's a bad actor, but he was quite cringey in this one.

Highly recommend this movie!
