The series started out great but then as the seasons continued, the plot conveniences overshadowed the intended character growth and story arcs. Hence it became completely un-relatable and felt fictional and didn't draw you in to the story.
The first season was good and I enjoyed the season 3 but somewhere as the seasons progressed it deteriorated. The character quirks which added a bit of humor soon became a gimmick and the plot convenience in each episode that intends to portray character growth or the pacing were not so seamless.
But that said I had fun binging on a couple of seasons before I realized it didn't hold my interest anymore.

I haven't seen all the episodes or the season, I just happened to catch Season 4 episode 4 as it was playing. They talk about how unsafe an exploded building rescue is but immediately afterwards the protagonist MacGuyver, Riley and Desi all enter without any safety gear or helmets whereas all the other rescue workers are following protocol and wearing safety gear. These lack of attention to details was irritating.
