I've watched it twice now, and I watched the original trilogy between viewings. They did a remarkable job connecting to the story while telling a completely new one. It's not a perfect film in its execution, but it is a near perfect film in what it achieves with its story. I went in expecting a reboot; and instead got an entirely new story that manages to fulfill all the original constraints of the Matrix universe while adding a lot of new things to think about.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that the only thing that would have disappointed me is if the movie had failed to change the way I think about reality.

I don't know how they did it, was there actually two floors? Seemed like parts were live, and other parts weren't, and it's so tongue and cheek with the way it's produced. Amazing special. Kacey is quickly becoming one of my favorite artists.
Beautiful cinematography. The movie shows one of the biggest economic challenges that we face in the world. Watching it, you feel yourself pulled by the different perspectives, and it leaves you without a clear idea of what solutions we need.
I discovered this movie through Andrew Yang's candidacy. And while I expected the film to support his UBI solution, the film takes a more nuanced approach.
