I was pleasantly surprised by this movie, I wqs hoping this would have the same feeling as Halle Berry's Kidnap and it does to a certain point.
This movie is gritty and intense, with strong themes of redemption, mental illness and abuse but carries itself very well. I'm very happy to see Alisson Janey take one something completely new, she was very convincing in this role and I was rooting for her character Lou through the whole movie. There are a few twists that are cleverly revealed through the story (the audience is given enough to work them out, but not enough to ruin the surprises).
The mother of the kidnapped daughter does make some stupid decisions, especially after Lou has already told her explicitly not to do something.
However, this movie is ruined by a cliché ending that we've seen in quite a few Netfix movies which is really disappointed me.
I also can't help but feel Halle Berry and Joel Edgerton were meant to be in this movie, but they casted relatively unknown people.

This game was amazing, a bit predictable but amazing.
All of the characters have so much depth to them, you understand all of their motivations and why they make the decisions they do. All of the actors potrayed their characters so well, every emotion and facial expression telling the story.
The background also tell us so much, the volaco, the difference in colours and the amount of ironic karma is absolutely delictable.
The horse and car chase scene did feel very put of place and boring, we should've been able to jump from the horses to cars.

Scandal is a great TV show because all of the cast get along and have so much chemistry, it oozes off the screen. The cast truly immersed themselves into their characters; Shonda Rhimes has been know to write characters with the actor in mind, which is why the acting seems so authentic. Each character is fully fleshed out with complete back stories, they all have their own motivations, they turn on their own when they feel the need to and very quickly learn the actions of their consequences when doing so.
Unfortunately, the writing declined after season 5. In my opinion, season 6 and season 7 were completely unneccesary; season 6's climax was awful and season 7 was basically a rewrite of season 4.
