  • Loving authentic tribute to SOV splatter.

If you stay up on your micro-to-low-budget horror (that's a thing everyone does right?), you may have seen quite a few attempted throw backs to the SOV horror of the 80s and 90s. Mostly this includes a obvious filter, applied to the digital film. However this is not the case for Blood Sick Psychosis, which breaks out the camcorder instead for that authentic, grimy feel.

More than that, it captures the genres vibe on every level from the story to the splatterific gore effects. Good old fashioned, mean spirited, gross fun - pure and uncut. Bringing to the screen grainy violence, Satan and metal/punk.

If you are a fan of early Olaf Ittenbach, Jon McBride, Marcus Koch or even the super 8 films of Nathan Schiff, give this throwback a try.

  • Fun Low Budget Flick

In goofy enjoyable mash of disco flicks and 70s demon films, Rex Romanski pisses off a witch who rains havoc on his playboy lifestyle. There is a lot of flat humor and a terrible fake noise filter throughout the film but a few great jokes make it through as well as some ambitious color and lighting.

I rate it a "fuck it, watch it" Bonus random natural regular titties throughout is a plus

  • A semi-recent favorite.

Its hard to put to words what appeals to me so much about this film. This kind of slipped out in 2014 and was on of the great James Gandolfini's last works. At the time I had hardly heard a word about it and had no real love towards Hardy (Bronson hadn't made up for "the worst star trek movie") but stuck in a situation where it was that or nothing, I jumped in about 10 minutes deep in to it. The acting from everyone is almost perfect, even Noomi Rapace dropping and picking up her accent some how works. Tom Hardy's character is written and acted to give you an east coast every-man on the autism spectrum with a dark past, it sounds crazy but its prime, subtle. The story its self, a crime drama, spends a lot more time in drama then my usual picks but never risks loosing my attention. A small contained story, well written but simple, it picks strange things to be complex about. It has grown to be one of my favorites of the recent years. Nothing crazy just a movie movie, but if you haven't give it a try.
