Some people might say crocodile/alligator movies are the poor man's shark movies, but I detest those people. Crocs/gators are inherently cinematic - they are perfect for suspense in the way they will wait, and wait, until they make their move; they have a sly, cunning look to them and an almost evil smile while makes them look both villainous and intelligent; and most of all, the fact that they really do exist - and are far more likely to attack you than a shark.
