As I'm old and watched the originals in the cinema I quite enjoyed seeing this. Todays viewing public are another story and the amount of poor reviews is par for the course. If you cause any deviation from cannon they literally lose their minds , they hate large corporate companies so will throw hatred at Disney any chance they can. I did not really like the last 3 movies but so far I have really enjoyed the last lot of tv series. I had to watch stuff like Blake's 7 as a kid so I'm not going to complain bad effects ! I'm nearly 60 so my opinion doesn't really count , but as far as I'm concerned nor do the modern fanboys. Stop reading reviews and make your own mind up and don't be afraid to like something that popular opinion hates.

I wish I was an expert on story telling because most reviewers seem to know that what they watch is due to lazy writing. I can guarantee that whatever I watch someone is complaining about lazy writing. Literally every thing made these days they employ lazy writers to write it. I don't have any answers but maybe all these people can be employed instead of those horrible lazy writers out there ? I could then give a higher mark ! This episode at last makes me want to watch another one , the previous two were a bit of a yawn fest but as a Star Trek fan I live in hope of better things to come. Hopefully they haven't employed any of those god awful lazy writers for the new Strange New Worlds series........

Was recommended this by people who watched both seasons. So amazed by the Experts whining like babies about this series, it's an ok tv show , you have a right to have an opinion but please grow up they haven't committed a crime by making the show , people act like idiots nowadays if it's not to their liking. If I don't like something I just stop watching it , since I'm leaving a review it's not as bad as some are making it to be !
