As both a Family Guy and Star Trek fan I really can't understand what people see in this show - it is one huge disappointment. It has virtually no humor (even crude humor). It happens on a space-ship, but somehow manages to be barely sci-fi. it is a boring show mainly about the captain's awkward, obsessive feelings about the first mate - enough already. The characters are barely drawn, and the plots are tedious and uninteresting. Put this one out of its misery.

I wanted to like this light hearted cop comedy but it was just way too heavy-handed with the family stuff. Apparently Laura was the only person in the world to make a baby and she is just so amazing for having done so. She is split from her ex because he cheated - which sucks, but she brings it up in every conversation they ever have (and since they work together they talk a lot). Forgive him or don't, but shut-up about it already. Became unwatchable by season two - too bad because it could have been a decent show.
