Chloe Grace Moretz absolutely aces this film. The emotional performance from her is top class.
This film very much reminded me of Children of Men in pace and tension but also it's the other film I can think of that has a powerful, courageous pregnant woman in it.
I think certain ideas in the story could have been explored better (not much back story to the android uprising) but the film is about the struggle of the mother so I get why we don't really leave that narrative.
Worth a watch, if only for the excellent performance of the lead.

This is the kind of thing you could imagine on a cheap movies channel.
The story was actually interesting enough but the acting was very wooden so it was difficult to get emotionally involved in the film. Plus the random black out edits from scene to scene made it feel like they had run out of ideas so just flipped to somewhere else in the story.
Still, I got to the end so it can't have been that bad. Perhaps one to watch during a pandemic when you've watched all the other films available on Netflix.

I went into this film knowing very little About the premise and throughout the whole film I never settled on where it might possibly end up. Anyone who says that this film was slow and boring, can't have been taking in all the brilliant subtleties that built up the story.
Florence Pugh in the lead role was just perfect. I hope she sticks to working with interesting directors and doesn't get eaten up by high budget franchise films like a lot of other decent actors.
To sum up... cool film. Solid acting.
